We’re writing with great news! The Unalayee Board of Directors has pledged to match every dollar raised on #GivingTuesday – December 2nd – (capping at $5,000) to kick-off our 2014 Membership Drive! Which means your donations – of any amount – will increase by 100%.
We know that as the snow starts falling in the Mosquito Lake Basin (yes – it snows at camp!), many of us receive e-mail upon e-mail from our favorite non-profits asking for money. And, Camp Unalayee is among those continuing the seasonal tradition. We’ve always scheduled our annual Membership Drive, which is one way we fund Unalayee’s generous camperships, at the end of the year.
This year, our matching gift shakes up that tradition. Whatever you give will go twice as far to support our Campership Fund and get even more kids to Unalayee. Please help us tap into these matching funds with your generous donation!
Not able to support Camp through a monetary donation? We recognize that the “Giving Season” means much more than financial support, and we recognize our many members who do so much more than just give monetarily. Check out ALL the ways below you can contribute to our mission and become a member: through donating, volunteering, fundraising, and helping us to spread the word about camp.
Our donors, fundraisers, volunteers, and supporters have all helped Unalayee provide a transformational wilderness experience to thousands of young people for the last 65 years. We ask you to do what you can today to help us ensure that we can continue our mission in our 66th year.
And remember, when you support our Campership Fund on December 2nd this year, your donation is automatically doubled!
Sincerely,
Camp Unalayee

Volunteer
Camp Unalayee volunteers keep camp running year round. They host events, do outreach, donate their pro-bono services, solicit equipment donations, do daily tasks and research, and so much more! Check out our volunteer page for how you can donate your time to Camp Unalayee this season.
Give
Camp doesn’t just run off of monetary donations! The donations of food, backpacking equipment, medical supplies, and craft supplies that we receive each year greatly help us offset the cost of running camp so that we can offer our program to more kids who can’t afford to pay full price.

Photo Contest
Well, you won’t become a member of the Camp Unalayee Association by participating in our photo contest, but you’ll still have a lot of fun!
But first: the September/October answer: Those two stunning lakes were Mirror and Sapphire – and plenty of you got them right!Ok, this one is going to be a little different.
Hopefully most of you know by now that Camp Unalayee has been providing financial assistance to kids from disadvantaged backgrounds for years and years. If not, then you can see from the photo below, that doing so was a priority in 1954, 1955, and 1956, as it still is today.
It’s clear that the Camp Unalayee community has been dedicated to achieving our mission as long as we’ve been around. But the question is… in what year did we actually become an independent non-profit?
Be the first to e-mail us with the correct answer and we’ll send you a holiday prize!
